Bothell, Wash. (Nov. 22, 2010) – HealthForce Partners recently received a silver award from the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) for its excellence in promoting health and wellness to its employees. The award was given to organizations for expanding programming and aligning their efforts with the organization’s priorities

HealthForce was evaluated on its wellness policies and practices, leadership support and five interventions, including:

• physical activity
• healthy eating
• stress management
• tobacco free environment
• medical self-care

These components are integrated in the HealthForce Wellness Challenge, a web-based population health management program that improves the overall health of employees by helping individuals make better choices regarding their personal health.

HealthForce is one of a few companies to receive this award in the state of Washington. This year, WELCOA awarded 52 companies and organizations nationwide for their wellness leadership.
