HealthForce Ergonomic Services help employers examine the physical requirements and risks associated
with specific jobs and worksites. Our services benefit workers in all types of jobs and industries, from
physically demanding occupations to work performed in an office. After our workplace health experts
identify the job requirements and risks at your worksite, they make recommendations both individually
and on a small-group basis to improve the work environment, prevent injuries, and maximize employee
safety and productivity.
|
Ergonomic Assessment and Consultation
This service is provided by a HealthForce
Physical or Occupational Therapist specializing in ergonomics and work-injury prevention. For
employees with minor discomfort while performing their daily work tasks, our specialists
perform one-on-one ergonomic assessments right at employees’ workstations. Besides evaluating
each employee’s physical environment and workstation setup, our assessments focus on specific
work behaviors that may increase the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders.
|
|
Cost-effective solutions to prevent injuries
Our ergonomic services, which are often part of
a larger absence-management strategy, enable employees to proactively address and minimize
their risk factors before discomfort, lost productivity, and on-the-job injuries can occur.
Based on careful observations and discussions with the employee and the employer, we recommend
the most appropriate and budget-friendly modifications to the employee’s workstation and
equipment. Rather than immediately recommending expensive, new equipment, we first explore all
options for modifying existing equipment to help the employee work safely and effectively.

them most at the worksite and are taught by our Occupational Therapists. Topics include:
